Looks like there are many quite interesting movie this year. And, so many superheroes movies too…
MIB III, Madagascar 3 (yay!!), Die Hard 5, Star Trek 2, Ice Age 4, Batman 3,
Spiderman in 3D: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2YMu52MfqA&feature=related
Marvel’s team of heroes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPoHPNeU9fc&feature=related
G.I. Joe 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2YMu52MfqA&feature=related
From all trailers, I anticipate watching G.I. Joe 2 the most; surprisingly, Bruce Willis is on it too.
Other than that.. there is this movie which I am still trying to get.
“Flowers of War”: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xmxwhh_flowers-of-war_shortfilms#from=embediframe
The film is starring Actor Christian Bale: he will play an American priest called John who helps a great number of Chinese escape certain death during the Nanjing Massacre, an event during which Japanese soldiers killed hundreds of thousands of Chinese civilians and soldiers, and raped thousands of women after the capture of the city of Nanjing. Till today Japan’s politician still have the denial over Nanjing Massacre though.March 2, 2012 at 11:54 pm #21341smittenbyYuna said:
Thanks!! Gotta find time to watch this one!
March 17, 2012 at 3:16 pm #21590I just finished watching “Hugo”.
The plot itself isn’t strong and somewhat boring, but it is perhaps due to the strong “artsy” side that this film offers. The scenes are more than just beautiful, the way the camera angle works makes it manages to create a situation inside our head without choking us with too much dialogue. And, at the same time, it is very beautiful. No, it is different from just any beautiful movie. While watching the movie, I always have impression that the way the movie played with the camera angle is so so good. This is what I call a ‘motion picture’ yay:)
The background music is also nice and very neat. And, not forget to mention the blue tone of the scenes all throughout the movie. I indulge the movie from the very beginning to the very end.
About the plot, it is so much versus “Sherlock Holmes” that has fast change of sequence from scene to scene. And the story itself isn’t that original either. Btw, I can tell the person whom watched with me, who is a doctor who likes watching the fast-paced American movie got bored and dozing three times ^^ but me, I love this movie so much. haha..added: the movie used Danse macabre (Saint-Saëns) twice for music background. When I listened the composition being played, as much as I enjoyed watching the scenes, I couldn’t stop thinking and imagining of Yuna’s step sequences for this routine though. lol…

April 15, 2012 at 2:05 am #22184Uncle, I have watched “We Bought a Zoo” and have to say it is truly a heart-warming true love story.
Though I myself can’t find any down-to-earth-reality (I am not sure how should I call it, but I mean to say that I don’t think I have seen it yet in reality where it supposed to be that beautiful till the end as in the drama, but I won’t talk much about it here^^ ) for the “love at the first sight”, I am glad Hollywood produces this kind of movie that talks about the love and commitment the family gives to each other. I think it speaks out throughout the movie with various ways, either from Mees family itself or from the employers at the Zoo.
Love and commitment aren’t that popular anymore in our today’s life mainstream, while imho it is one of the most important thing to have if people want to feel the sense of “meaning” in life, that is why I am glad to see this kind of movie.
I came across the interview video of Mr. Mee and I remember he said something like for them to keep the zoo, the zoo itself even have to make them giving out certain amount of money instead. It is a moving gesture and I wish them all the best to happen as the zoo is the commemoration for his children’s mom, besides the book itself.I won’t talk much about the the actors or actresses, as they played it very well. Just one thing, can’t deny I loove the sweet little girl in the movie, esp when she shouted, “yey” and “we bought a zoo”. That is simply.. adorable. omg.. ^^
April 15, 2012 at 2:27 am #22189I have watched “Battleship” too. Too lazy to write now as it is late already over here, (okay, actually I am just lazy..hehe..) but it is recommended for anyone who loves the movie “Pearl Harbour” and “Transformer”. To put it short, it is the blend of both movies, I think..
. Overall, it is nice and I enjoy watching the movie.
Just one thing that I am still curious with and I am still thinking of the answer…I am being serious…… ㅡㅡ
So the enemies are dressed in robotic costume, chasing and destroying everything. There will be a spoiler from now on..sorry
.. There is a scene where the nerd guy trying to get his communication tools from one room, yet it was already surrounded by the bad guys. Somehow he sneaked in to the room and managed to get it back. But when he was trying to get out of the room to somewhere safe, one bad guy get in his way. He freezed, trembling, then….it is kind of being cut in the middle…and dang… he already get out of the room, running..
lol, my teacher, who also watching with me at that time, and I turned head to each other and were like, “how come..?” ㅡㅡAugust 17, 2012 at 2:30 pm #23809@SmittenbyYuna if you happen to be lurking, “As One” came out and I just watched it halfway! Thought you’d like to know. It’s a beautiful, heartwarming film^^ You might want to search dailymotion.
